The SP-1200AC automatic system kit is designed for automating sliding cantilever gates weighing up to 1,200 kg and up to 12 m in length (two leaves opening in opposite directions). The gate leaf is driven by the electric motor’s output gear, which engages with a rack mounted along the bottom edge of the gate frame. The rack is not included in the kit and must be selected separately based on the passage width.

Control is via a remote control operating at 433.92 MHz with a range of 30 m. Pressing the button once opens the gate; pressing it again reverses the action. This logic is designed for safety: the gate never moves without a user command. Up to 40 remote controls can be programmed into the control unit’s memory — enough for a large family or a property with multiple users.

Traffic safety is ensured by two systems:

• Infrared sensors — detect pedestrians, vehicles, and other objects crossing the infrared beam and prevent the gate from closing on an obstacle.

Installation of an automatic system kit for sliding gates

The drive is mounted on a channel bar (anchor) between the console’s roller supports, on the inside of the gate. Key requirements that we at SP Premier always check during installation:

• Foundation: channel bar in a concrete base or on screw piles, deviation from the horizontal—no more than 1–2 mm/m.
• Gear engagement: the clearance between the drive gear and the rack should be 1–2 mm. Excessive pressure increases the load on the motor.
• Limit switches: magnetic limit switches are set so that the gate leaf stops 2–3 cm before physical contact.
• Photocells: installed on both sides of the passageway at a height of 50–60 cm from the ground with IR beam alignment.
• Signal lamp: mounted on top of the post closest to the drive or at a height convenient for viewing.
• Cables: power cable 3×1.5 mm² (220 V) is routed separately from low-voltage lines—photocells 4×0.22 mm², signal lamp 2×0.75 mm², RG58 antenna. Underground routing—in a trench at least 50 cm deep in a protective corrugated conduit.
• Electrical safety: Grounding is mandatory. The control board is sensitive to voltage spikes, so we recommend connecting it via a voltage stabilizer.
